About Florian Mueller
I hold a degree in Computational Physics from Graz, Austria. My Ph.D. and postdoctoral research at the NIH (USA) focused on live-cell fluorescence microscopy and mathematical modeling to study nuclear protein dynamics and DNA interactions. I later continued postdoctoral work at ENS and Institut Pasteur (France), developing automated image analysis tools and models to understand transcription regulation. Since 2013, I’ve been a staff scientist at Pasteur. I currently lead the Photonic BioImaging (PBI) platform, providing advanced optical imaging expertise for life sciences. I also oversee R&D efforts focused on spatially resolved RNA detection, integrating wetlab, instrumentation, and data analysis to explore mRNA biogenesis and tissue function.
