About Florian Neumayr

Florian is co-managing partner at bpv Huegel attorneys-at-law, Vienna (Austria). bpv Huegel is founding member of the bpv LEGAL Alliance with offices in Baden, Bratislava, Brussels, Budapest, Bukarest, Mödling, Prag and Vienna. Florian heads the dispute resolution practice and co-chairs the firm’s competition law department. Florian advises on all aspects of Austrian and EU competition law (cartels, abuse of market dominance, merger control, state aid and procurement). A special focus of his is dispute resolution (litigation, arbitration, mediation) and, in particular, private enforcement. He has a considerable track record in representing national and international clients (both private and public) in different fora. Clients include top undertakings as well as associations in the telecoms, energy, financial, construction and waste disposal sectors. Following law school and an LL.M. in international commercial law including international dispute resolution, Florian earned a PhD in procurement law. He is a regular speaker at congresses and professional seminars. Florian has authored numerous publications. He is a honorary fellow of the Centre for International Legal Studies and an active member of, inter alia, the Austrian bar, the Austrian Arbitration Association (Arb|Aut), the Association of German Speaking Competition Lawyers (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.), the ICC Task Force of Antitrust Damage Claims, the International League of Competition Law, the Spanish Austrian Lawyer's Association, and UIA. Florian serves as mediator on the Energy Community's Panel of Mediators and on VIAC's Domestic Advisory Board. He has been highly regarded in national and international rankings.
