This position required safe transit and dynamic positioning of over 200 modular sections from Stockton to the project site via main shipping channels. On-board stability assessments and heightened safety measures were implemented due to the inherent size and unstable geometry of sections transported on barges. IBU: Foss Maritime/Crowley Marine Services: San Francisco, CA - September 1, 1996 - July 1, 2003 Served on the T/T Andrew Foss while operating as a tanker escort vessel. Duties and responsibilities included operations associated with petroleum tanker escorts, fire fighting, and oil spill response. Employed on the 128-foot towboat Guardian transporting the petroleum barge Lube Quest on scheduled runs between Los Angeles, CA and Portland, OR.
