About Forrest Walker Whitmore

AI's best use is freeing us to focus on work that matters—the creative and strategic thinking that humans do best. I advance Generative AI strategy at Willow. My experience navigating complex construction scenarios gives me a practical lens for understanding intricate systems and information flows—but my approach applies far beyond any single domain. I immediately saw the value and power in the latest AI technologies, and I've spent the last few years deeply understanding how they work, staying close to emerging developments, and continuously iterating on existing processes. I develop AI systems that make data genuinely useful. Not dashboards or reports, but tools that connect fragmented information, surface buried insights, and answer questions that used to require extensive manual work. The most interesting problems live at the intersection of domain understanding and emerging AI capabilities. My approach is research-driven but practical. Prototype quickly. Test assumptions. Learn what works. The goal isn't innovation for its own sake—it's creating tools that improve efficiency and velocity while maintaining accuracy. With clear vision and dedicated effort, complex problems become solvable. I'm focused on making that happen.
