About Foster Grant

A person with a Sense of Humour, Experienced, Committed and still willing to learn or develop myself and others. Adheres to the business strategy of the agency and/or funders etc. I have extensive knowledge and experience of engaging with people in the social housing, employment, education and training sector. I have excellent skills for communicating with individuals, organisations and diverse communities alike. Providing relevant support, information, advice and guidance to both service users and staff. I have a proven track record and this has been reflected and demonstrated by my passion, development and commitment to St Basils, for over 22 years. Specialising in working with young homeless and other vulnerable people (including families), whom are experiencing various issues ie. Housing, Unemployment, Crime, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities etc. Either in a supporting/mentoring and coaching role or developing and working on programmes to aide their social needs and raise their aspirations. What I have learnt and achieved, in this field of work, is that to enable a person to achieve their goals or to raise their aspirations, means you may have to support and advise people with dealing with their issues. This includes providing up to date advice and information, which enables the person to make an informed choice, with their career choice/s. Other important duties included, record keeping, writing reports and data management. Excellent numeracy and IT skills and competent in using Microsoft Office and the Internet. The working knowledge and experiences, I have accumalated are important and relevant for working withpeople, whom need / request support. I possess a good personality, sense of humour and able to communcate, with various people, professionals and stakeholders, alike. Is proactive and able to work on own intiative. Very reliable and adaptable.
