About Fountain Walker

As the Vice President of Global Campus Safety at New York University (NYU), I am responsible for ensuring the safety and security of over University affiliates across 221 campus buildings in Brooklyn and Manhattan, as well as over a dozen Global Campus Centers around the world. I report directly to the Executive Vice President of NYU and manage a multi-million-dollar budget and a team of over 400 public safety personnel, including Transportation Services, Investigative Services, Special Events, and Uniformed Security Services. With over 25 years of experience in law enforcement and campus security, I have developed core competencies in evidence, law enforcement, firearms handling, crisis intervention, and emergency management. I hold a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, a Police Staff and Command certificate from Northwestern University, and a certificate of completion from Harvard Management and Leadership in Education. My mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for the diverse and global community of NYU, and to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation in campus safety.
