About Fox Aven Convey

Fox Aven Convey (she, they) is a non-binary femme artist, wellness practitioner, and clinical psychotherapist in training. Her background is primarily in childhood, somatic, and artistic education, activism, herbalism, yoga, and meditation. Fox is loving, creative, enthusiastic, warm, and hopeful. She integrates humanistic, feminist, person-centered, family systems, gestalt, somatic, strength-based, narrative, and emotion-centered perspectives in counseling, accompanied by a deep urgency and passion for liberation psychology, which includes racial, social, economic, and environmental equity, diversity, inclusion, justice, and belonging. Fox is invested in having meaningful and transformative interactions with individuals, couples, groups, families, and children. She has worked in solidarity with BIPOC, LGBTQIAA+, children, disabled/alternatively abled, and low-income people. Fox self-identifies as an intersectional feminist and is gender-affirming, sex-positive, and body-neutral/positive. Fox strongly and genuinely believes in the healing power of the quality therapeutic connection and has experienced this healing in their own life. Fox strives for unconditional positive regard, humility, compassion, respect, and curiosity, all within the sacred safe harbor of a genuinly loving and loyal connection. Fox has completed a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. Fox is currently taking psychotherapy clients, under supervision, at Sunny Sky Counseling in Portland, Oregon.
