The bad news is, I’m dyslexic. My experience ‘being educated’ at school left me naturally reticent, and my teachers despondent. The good news is, I’m dyslexic. Professionally and in business, I’ve found dyslexia has given me advantages, huge enjoyment and a particular set of skills to contribute. Here’s how: You know how your business continually churns out data that seems dreadful or dead? Well, I bring business data to life. My dyslexia enables me to - ‘Paint pictures’ in my clients minds, which help them to see clearly the risks and opportunities that the anomalies in their data provides - Find the stories the data is telling you, because I experience data multi-dimensionally, using more of my senses than ‘normal’ people would - See with greater perspective: As with most dyslexics, my intuition is highly developed. I use it in the service of businesses to dig deep into data and provide important insights that are often missed - My imagination enables me to design IT solutions that bring multi-level rewards- Relationships with clients are extremely important to me, and our work together often yield surprising facts about what business they are actually in- I surround myself with superb people who know, and compensate for, my limits. I make a point of only doing work that I find fun and rewarding. I lead a team of brilliant normal (well, quite normal) people, and like to think that our clients enjoy working with us
