About Fran Baum

Fran Baum established herself as a Commercial Insurance expert when she opened Bellevue Insurance Corporation in 1978, which she ran as President until she sold to Bell-Anderson in 1988, where she continues to work today as a broker, Vice President of Sales and the Independent School Program Manager. While running Bellevue Insurance she established the first insurance program endorsed by the Washington Federation of Independent Schools. The program began with an exclusive product offered through Aetna Casualty and Surety Company. Bellevue Insurance Corp. then received endorsements from the Oregon Federation of Independent Schools and Pacific Northwest Montessori Association. The independent school program has since been marketed to GuideOne Insurance, the Hartford Insurance Company and Great American Insurance Company, and would prove to greatly improve coverage, products and premiums for the industry as well as persuading the insurance companies to be more inclusive of all of the various types of independent education facilities. Subsequently Bell Anderson was asked to be a Corporate Partner with the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools, and many members enjoy the benefits of the Bell Anderson school insurance programs. Fran is a licensed property, casualty, life and health producer/broker in Washington State with non-resident licenses in several other states. She has lived in the Pacific Northwest her entire life where she raised her daughter, step children and grandchild. She is active in her community and she enjoys spending time with her dogs and horses on her ranch when not at work. In addition to tending to her varied book of commercial business she intends to continue to be an advocate for her more than 400 private / independent schools she currently represents. Her goal as always includes keeping the schools covered with the most comprehensive, cost effective insurance available.
