About Fran Campbell

Fran is the Clinical Lead in Podiatry and Biomechanics at Accelerate CIC. Fran works within the clinical nursing teams and runs a specialist biomechanics clinic which focuses on providing musculoskeletal podiatry input for people with lymphoedema and lipoedema. During her career, Fran has worked in many extended scope roles within podiatry practice. She has worked in the NHS within multidisciplinary, combined and specialist consultant led clinics in managing complex musculoskeletal lower limb conditions and sports injuries. While in private practice Fran was the CQC Manager, Surgical Services Manager and Lead in Gait and Biomechanics at The London Podiatry Centre. Fran completed an MSc in Clinical Biomechanics with distinction from the University of Brighton in 2019. Fran was previously a Deputy Professional Editor for The Podiatrist which is the professional publication for the Royal College of Podiatry. Fran has published peer reviewed research and has experience in writing articles, academic essays, and blogs. Fran’s focus is on improving the quality of care for people with chronic oedema through a multidisciplinary approach by involving podiatry and other allied health professionals. This involves an essential shift in the current paradigm of care and service provision for people with lymphoedema and lipoedema.
