About me.I’m adaptable. As a child, I moved around quite a bit and attended 7 different schools prior to college. I was an exchange student in Brazil for my junior year of high school; it was a pivotal experience in my life. During that time I became aware of my gravitation towards those who need me. It also gave me great empathy and respect for immigrants struggling with language, culture change, school, and jobs. It implanted a strong appreciation for my American freedom and privacy, not to be assumed elsewhere. These are all things that have helped to build the foundation of my character. I’ve had a successful previous career as a Dental Hygienist for 17 years of which I am very proud. In 2008, when I decided to move my husband’s business files to the cloud, I found myself on the fast track to Director of Operations. As quoted by John F. Kennedy, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” When I think about qualities that drive me, 3 things come to mind: 1. Change, I am just one of those people that love change. Helping, when others need me in areas I excel. Learning, I learn something new every day and I love it! During my time as director of Operations at The Eppy Group, I oversaw HR and worked together with all the members of the firm to create and implement best practices company wide. I am also a licensed financial service representative and have the privilege of working with a rock star staff and passionate financial professionals who share in a vision of making a difference! I could never have predicted a more challenging job which blurs the lines between work and play! I am an active participant in many philanthropic endeavors. I have had the opportunity through United Way to tour many of the funded facilities in my community to better understand the challenges. This is the first step towards solving the issues. I am proud to be involved and to call this my home.
