About Frances Calzada

With over three years of experience as a director of accounting, I am passionate about ensuring the financial integrity and accountability of nonprofit organizations that serve the community. Currently, I lead the grant accounting team at YMCA of South Florida, where I oversee the compliance, reporting, and reconciliation of over $50 million in grants and donations annually. As a certified nonprofit professional, I have developed strong skills in treasury management, nonprofit finance, and leadership, which I have applied in my previous roles as a treasurer at GoFundMe.org and a senior accounting manager at Make-A-Wish America. In these positions, I was responsible for managing the cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing of various fundraising campaigns and programs. I also collaborated with internal and external stakeholders, such as donors, board members, auditors, and grantors, to ensure transparency and alignment of goals. I am motivated by the challenge of maximizing the impact of every dollar donated and supporting the mission and vision of the organizations I work with.
