About Frances Maisonet

My background includes over 16 years in education with over seven years of leadership in the structure of a Prek-8 school. My interest and experience prepare me to be an asset for your diverse cross-cultural district where every student is valued. As a native Spanish speaker, I have many years of experience teaching Spanish as both a first and second language. I value the opportunity to work with students of a diverse population. My experience as a teacher, grade level leader and Spanish department head, led me to become an Immersion Instructional Coach & Assistant Principal. My love of teaching children has resulted in my becoming a leader having the opportunity to positively impact children and staff. One of my roles, as I see it, is to support teachers in doing what they do best: teaching. My leadership experience has given me the opportunity to work closely with teachers inside classrooms, spending time on helping them reach their goals and engaging in deep conversations about student learning. As an instructional leader, one of my strengths is feedback. I had the opportunity to coach teachers of different languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Russian & English) with the goal of improving their instruction.
