About Frances Ponsioen

I bring over 30 years of experience in medical staff services working directly with medical staff leadership and hospital executives to ensure continued compliance with all regulatory standards. I advise clients in the areas of accreditation, regulatory compliance, credentialing, privileging, medical staff services department and centralized credentialing operations and provides leadership and development training for medical staff leaders and medical services professionals. I served on the local South Texas Association of Medical Staff Professionals (STAMSP); President Elect, President, Past President, Secretary and the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), Governance Management & Manpower Committee, Nominating Committee, Audit & Finance Committee and Director at Large. I present at state and national conferences on a variety of topics related to leading practices in credentialing and privileging and is the author and coauthor of multiple resources, including the HCPro/Greeley book, The Medical Staff’s Guide to Overcoming Competency Assessment Challenges (2013). I am also a recipient of the NAMSS Joan Cochran award, 2007.
