Currently, Head of Sector for Transport and Programme Manager for Migration & Development at the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfMS). Project / Programme Manager, Senior Consultant and R&D business development manager with more than 25 years of proven high-level international experience in a wide range of transportation sectors, as well as in urban and land use planning and development, on topics comprising all project cycle activities. Among these projects, I have coordinated strategies for the transport and logistics sectors in the Southern and Northern Mediterranean countries; market analyses and business plans for port terminals, as well as for road and railway infrastructure; studies of tariff systems; studies for the development of international freight transport and technical assistance for the implementation of action plans for logistics infrastructure and services; as well as long-term training programs on transport and trade facilitation. Furthermore, I have worldwide work experience in geographical zones including Europe (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey), Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan), Latin America (Brazil, Chile, Peru), and East Asia (Philippine Islands). My client references include international organisations, such as the European Commission and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, international financial institutions, such as the European Investment Bank, the World Bank or the Inter-American Development Bank, as well as local authorities, national Ministries, private investors and academia. As team leader and as senior expert, I can offer sound organisational and managerial abilities as well as strong communication, analytical, drafting and reporting skills in English, French and Spanish. I earned my Master of Science in Civil Engineering and majored in Transport and Urban Planning from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain.
