About Francesca Binda

With over three decades of international experience in political transitions across the Balkans and the Middle East, I am a seasoned expert in governance, elections, parliamentary processes, and political party development. Having managed multimillion-dollar projects in more than 30 countries, my work has consistently delivered award-winning results.​ A recipient of the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal for my work in the Balkans, I have built substantial relationships with political change agents worldwide and am highly respected by influential leaders for contributions to governmental reform and policy development. As the President of BCI, I lead a team dedicated to political strategy, governance, and capacity building. Our focus includes public opinion research, women's political participation, gender-based violence, crisis communications, and organisational training. I excel at fostering collaborative environments where diverse talents converge to deliver shared objectives. Before transitioning to international work, I served in the Canadian House of Commons and spearheaded a landmark campaign for a national environmental coalition. I spent three years as a senior advisor to the first woman to lead a major political party in North America — an experience that shaped my passion for amplifying women’s voices in politics. I am passionate about fostering inclusive political environments and am particularly interested in roles that allow me to contribute to international development and democracy promotion. I am open to leadership positions that leverage my expertise in political strategy and governance. I am a founder and board member of the Foundation for Global Human Dignity, and an Associate of the Parliamentary Centre. When not thinking about politics, I think about food — both cooking and eating.
