About Francesca Burns

I have over 10 Years experience in the design industry and 5 years leading creative at Engage Works (Engage)- a Digital Creative Agency based in London.I hold a BA Hons in Design from Istituto Marangoni London and a foundation in fine and contemporary arts from Central St Martins. I also have Digital Design qualifications from Ravensbourne University. I am currently an advisor on the panel at the Design Awards for Digital and VR design. With a true passion for integrated design, my skillset covers conceptual, graphics, UX UI, spatial, campaign marketing and fine art. Fully proficient in all creative software including the Adobe Suite and project management applications. During the last five years as Creative Director at Engage, I sit on the senior leadership team whilst managing all creative output for the company. I have experience reporting to key stakeholders and board members, considering investment opportunities and project + company structure. I work closely alongside the CEO to develop the vision and innovation of the company.I have managed large creative teams in London and across the globe remotely. These teams include animation,UX & UI, Unity, spatial design and marketing. I have developed a clear process working in either agile or waterfall. This includes acting as a creative scrum master and creating tickets on Trello and Azure, then prototyping in Figma or XD, guiding the design in the adobe suite and high level strategic pitch. Through the work at Engage I have lead creative and strategy on the development of three digital software products, from concept, to build to delivery. These products include a presentation software for clients such a CBRE and Canary Wharf Group, a virtual events platform for Reed events and a collaboration software for clients such as KPMG, Accenture, EY and Capita. I have a strong interest in design for good. Two focus projects here were the creation of the World Indigenous Forum as well as the first charity marketing campaign with the LED screen re-launch in Piccadilly Circus, London.
