About Francesca Dier

Agriculture was not an expected industry to fall into, but one I have met head-on. As Head of Operations at SPF, I am responsible for a broad array of the business, from day-to-day in-office and on-farm systems and operations, company secretarial work, management of legal issues and disputes, appraisals of market opportunities and investor relations and reporting. I have pre-existing and on-going interest in the fields of development and security and am particularly drawn to the East African context and its' interrelationships with other parts of the world through political, economic and financial relations. Further, my legal background drives an interest in justice-related issues, in particular alternative avenues to access to legal information and services, as furthered in my thesis on access to justice in coastal Kenya. With a view to building strong professional foundations, as revealed through my eclectic work experience, I value the skills that can be derived from administrative, legal, academic and even hospitality roles in the shaping of a well-rounded candidate for future roles.
