About Francesca Dini

I support startups in raising funds to develop and bring to market innovative technologies. I experienced entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem from different angles and I am now providing support to companies with EIC Accelerator Step 2 applications through strategy coaching. I like to work closely with the team to help them tailor their strategy, positioning and business plans. After the Master in Biomedical Engineering, I completed a PhD in Sensor and System Engineering and worked as a PostDoc researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata for 5 years. In that period, I established with other colleagues a spin-off company, Innosensor, that I managed as CEO and R&D manager for almost 10 years. In 2015, I started working on the SME Instrument funding scheme. During this time, I developed a strong attitude for innovation, fundraising, financials, business planning, and business development strategies for startups. I now work as a freelancer, dividing my time as a strategy coach at Zaz Ventures, which gets me in contact with the most breakthrough companies in Europe, supporting Voiseed in their fundraising activities and pursuing my passions for photography and storytelling. On the latter, I work on research and text curation with the photographer Simone Tramonte, and I am carrying on a personal long-term project that I have exposed in a solo exhibition.
