About Francesca Eterovich

Currently working as a Research Assistant at Linköping University, I am dedicated to advancing perinatal brain injury therapies through innovative research. With a Master’s in Neurochemistry with Molecular Neurobiology from Stockholm University, my work is driven by a strong passion for neurodevelopment and neuroprotection in early life. As part of a newly established laboratory, I actively contribute to setting up protocols, optimizing experimental workflows, and ensuring the smooth operation of research activities. My expertise includes MAP2 and Nissl staining, molecular biology techniques, histological analysis, data interpretation, and scientific writing, all underpinned by a commitment to excellence in neurobiological research. At Linköping University, our research on gene silencing and the immunomodulatory potential of human amnion epithelial cells highlights the power of collaborative science. By developing new experimental models, troubleshooting technical challenges, and fostering interdisciplinary teamwork, we strive to enhance clinical outcomes and contribute to a healthier future for newborns and their long-term well-being.
