About Francesca Marchese

People describe me as persistent, agile, and introspective. On and off the court, I am an effective communicator and proud leader. My ability to think critically in fast-paced environments and provide constructive solutions has driven success in both academic and athletic settings. I am grateful to have completed my MBA at Brandeis University, where I deepened my expertise in marketing, strategy, and innovation. My undergraduate background in psychology and business, combined with my graduate studies, has equipped me with a unique skill set that I’m excited to apply in my professional journey. In everything I do, I am passionate and purposeful. Basketball has been a major part of my life, and reflecting on my final season as a Brandeis Judge, I’m proud of the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level. Being a student-athlete has enhanced my leadership and time management skills—both of which fuel my productivity. Re-nominated as team captain for three consecutive seasons by my teammates and coaches is a testament to my ability to mentor, collaborate, and communicate in a team setting. While my time on the court has ended, my passion for the sport continues to inspire me in all I do. Outside of basketball, I’m into DIY projects, fitness, wellness, and cooking. I enjoy expressing my creativity with hands-on projects, challenging myself in workouts, and experimenting with new recipes. These activities keep me balanced, focused, and energized—qualities I bring to everything I pursue. While I’m intrinsically motivated, words of encouragement help me reflect and grow. Atticus Finch once said, “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.” This quote reminds me that everyone I meet has something valuable to teach. My work as a diversity, equity, and inclusion intern has helped me foster meaningful conversations that allow me to connect with others on a deeper level. Attending Brandeis’ International Business School allowed me to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, strengthening my understanding of different cultures. My growth mindset drives me to embrace challenges, persist through adversity, and learn from those around me.
