About Francesca Pengidore

Senior occupational therapist at an urban level 1 acute care hospital. My OT skill set includes a variety of populations and diagnoses in the acute care setting: trauma, medical intensive, cardiac, post surgical, orthopedic, neurological, transplant, oncology, substance abuse and beyond. I am currently involved in a hospital wide initiative/collaborative regarding early mobility in the acute care setting from an OT perspective. I most recently have become the occupational therapy champion for a system wide (6+ hospitals including our flagship hospital) delirium and early mobility physician-led council.I have mentored numerous OT students during their level 2 fieldworks and assisted struggling students achieve success to pass fieldwork. I mentor and lead fellow OT staff in in-services/group projects to continuously provide best evidence-based practice. I also supervise and train volunteers who are interested in the OT field.I have a strong interest in advocating for the OT profession in acute care settings as well as staying up to date on best practices.
