Disclaimer: not everything I’ve set out to do has worked. Some research ideas never materialized, some collaborations stalled, and I’ve had to learn how to let go of “perfect plans” in favor of progress. There are papers that never got published, grants that didn’t come through, and algorithms that failed miserably — all of which helped me become more focused on what truly matters: people, integrity, and impact over prestige. Along the way, I’ve also grown more aware of how personal well-being affects professional life. I care deeply about mental health and am always happy to support those who might be struggling — in science or beyond it. Outside of research, I’m deeply curious about the world and how we make sense of it. I love diving into history and philosophy, following politics, and getting lost in nature. I can talk for hours about basketball. Stargazing keeps me humble. These interests remind me that there’s always more to learn, and that perspective matters — in science, in life, and in how we relate to each other.
