About Francesco Colosimo

Presently, I am a Consultant at MacPhie, a boutique organizational development consultancy in Toronto, Ontario. I hold a Master of Health Information Science from Western University, as well as an Honor’s Bachelor of Health Sciences from Western University. My previous work at Gilead Sciences involved working on projects across treatment areas to ultimately maximize the innovative research being conducted in Canada and across the globe. I also have an extensive background in academia, previously working as an undergraduate/graduate Teaching Assistant at Western University, as well as holding several Research Assistant/Analyst positions at Western and Mount Saint Vincent Universities. My interest in studying Health Information Science stemmed from my time in academia. I was fortunate enough to contribute to some amazing research, but often wondered how those ideas would be applied. Health Information Science does just that as it involves studying how health-related information could be best communicated in order to create maximum behaviour change and understanding. Since then, I have embraced many opportunities professionally that allow me to ensure research is making a difference. In my current role, I mainly focus on strategic planning and culture transformation projects that allow me to conduct research within an organization and apply it in their context to help them understand and achieve their desired future direction and priorities. My education and professional background has lead me to dedicate much of my working life towards not only conducting meaningful research, but communicating and presenting it in a such a way that makes an impact. When I am not on the job, I enjoy playing hockey, golf, and tennis, attending concerts, and exploring the City of Toronto.
