About Francesco Perrone

After completing a BSc and MSc in Energy Engineering with specialization in Nuclear Technology, in May 2013 I started my career as Thermal & Hydraulic Engineer at B&R, a major Italian manufacturer of shell & tube heat exchangers. Due to my strive for an international environment, I was soon outsourced to EMbaffle BV, a small engineering company in the Netherlands part of the B&R group. During the time spent in EMbaffle I extended my knowledge of heat transfer equipment, working on a number of projects with some of the major engineering companies in the oil & gas field. In addition, I was responsible for presenting the EMbaffle technology to partners and potential customers. Finally, I acted as technical responsible in meetings with customers and participated in several exhibitions and conferences worldwide. The years I spent in EMbaffle helped me to develop and strengthen my interpersonal and communication skills, shaping me into a proactive and flexible professional. In October 2015 I joined Siemens Heat Transfer Technology (HTT). In Siemens HTT I could extend my technical knowledge to combined cycle power plants, with particular focus on heat recovery steam generators. Being part of such an international and highly technical company as Siemens, I have been working on many challenging projects and cooperating with colleagues located all over the world. Moreover, being part of a stimulating multicultural team, I am continuously improving my personal skills. In January 2018 I started to work as R&D Project Manager within the Center of Technology department. In this role I was responsible for the full development of new products, taking them from R&D level to full technical readiness and commercialization. Since July 2022 I have taken over the position of Manager of the Thermal & Hydraulic Engineering department, leading a team of more than 10 engineers responsible to ensure the highest quality of thermal designs during Sales and Project Execution, but also for new heat transfer products and reference plants.
