Background

About Francesco Pusterla

I was born in 1986 in Piacenza, Italy, since then I have always been in love with architecture, music and new technologies. Recently I am exploring how these 3 can merge to create joyful and inspiring spaces and atmospheres. I graduated at the Academy of Architecture USI in 2012. While studying I spent a year working at Asymptote Architecture in New York, and later with NAU architecture in Zurich. These experiences together with my academic background at the Accademia have increased my interest in the use and research of digital tools in architecture. Since 2010 I work at the Academy of Architecture as teaching assistant, developing courses on Digital Fabrication, 3D Printing, 3D Scanning and Building Information Modelling. In 2011, while finishing my studies, I teamed up with my father Renato and founded R.P.Arch. an architecture firm focused on the use of renewable materials and energies. Since then I am actively working as an architect between Como and Milan, developing Housing, Renovation and Interior projects. From 2020 I started a new adventure @ AFRY where I am now leading the Virtual Design and Construction implementation for the Swiss region.
