About Franck Turkovics

I consolidated my career in innovation, development and life series project management in the automotive sector. I was able to get like this a complete and full technical know how of the "Powertrain", the expertise in biofuel and energy focusing on Sustainability and Environment topics. Thanks to all of these activities I developed also an extensive experience in multicultural teams management. First development project experience was to deal with the first PSA Group direct injection diesel engine introducing the high-pressure injection new technology “common rail” in mass production. I was chosen as Technical leadership for the BMW Group cooperation project, developing a new family of gasoline engines, focusing on reducing CO2 emissions. This project won the “Best Engine in the Category ´´ Award. I built the complete Powertrain structure in Latin America (manufacture, components, functionalities, calibration and vehicle adaptation) and In 2011 this structure became a Business Unit with around 100 people, and turned a regional Technical Reference Center for ethanol engine development. More recently I was in charge of the innovation structure for advanced new projects and for relationship with Brazilian Automotive Associations, government agencies, National Petroleum Agency.
