About Franco Concli
Nato a Bolzano (1985), ottiene la laurea magistrale in ingegneria meccanica presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 2009. Tra il 2010 ed il 2012 frequenta il dottorato in Ing.Mecc. presso il Politecnico di Mi. Nel 2013 ottiene il titolo di European Ph.D. con progetto intitolato "Efficienza delle trasmissioni meccaniche e analisi fluidodinamica delle perdite di potenza". Nell'anno 2012 ha lavorato presso FZG, dipartimento della TU di Monaco (D) e nel 2013 come Post-Doc (ENI) presso il Politecnico di Milano. I principali campi di ricerca includono lo sviluppo di codici di previsione delle perdite di potenza, dei regimi termici e dell'efficienza delle trasmissioni meccaniche nonchè la loro applicazione a casi specifici. Da gennaio 2014 è stato impiegato presso "Bonfiglioli Mechatronic Research" in Rovereto come progettista senior responsabile calcolo dove segue un progetto di ricerca finanziato da PAT. Tra il 2016 ed il 2022 è stato ricercatore presso la Libera università di Bolozano dove dal 2022 è prof. presso la fac. di ingegneria Franco Concli was born in Bolzano, Italy, on May 21, 1985. He received his Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He developed his MD thesis about structural damages of helicopter gearboxes (Agusta-Westland). He graduated Ph.D.(European Label, with merit) on March 27, 2013 at Politecnico di Milano. The title of his Ph.D. thesis is “Efficiency of gear transmissions and CFD analisys of load independent power losses". In 2012 he had a reseach fellowship at the FZG Dept. of the TU Munich and in 2013 a Post. Doc. position at the mechanical department of Politecnico di Milano (ENI). His research fields include the development of CFD tools for the prediction of power losses, thermal regimes and efficiency of gearboxes and FEM modeling. He is worked as senior mechanical design engineer at Bonfiglioli Mechatronic Research in Rovereto. To date is ass. professor at the Engineering Faculty of the Free university of Bz.
