About Franco Ng

Franco Ng is a research associate and a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Currently, he is a nurse practitioner candidate at the University of Toronto. Franco was inspired by his professional experiences at acute/long-term care facilities, and palliative care settings, as well as his leadership experiences as an executive of the Asian Student’s Association. He is interested in immigrants’ aging and health, oncology, health profession education, and collaboration in healthcare. Additionally, he has presented at several conferences including the International Council of Nurses 2023 conference, the Canadian Association of Oncology Nurses conferences, the Annual Canadian Geriatric Society (CGS) Conference, and the 8th Asian Conference on Aging & Gerontology in Tokyo. Currently, Franco is in the Sepsis Canada and LiFTING research fellowship training program in collaboration with McMaster University under the Research Coordinator and Clinical, Population Health, and Health Services research stream. Franco aspires to become a professor, researcher, and primary care nurse practitioner focused on improving the health and access to care of immigrant populations.
