Experienced Research Physician with more than 21 years’ experience in full time clinical research in phase I to IV clinical trials. Possess in depth knowledge spanning several therapeutic areas and have conducted 185 studies in various indications (118 studies as Principal investigator and a further 67 studies as medical monitor ). 72 of the studies performed as principal investigator and medical monitor, were performed on anti-diabetic compounds and or diabetic patients, which include the design and conduct of 23 glucose clamp studies. Clamp study experience includes experience in the conduct of almost individual manual glucose clamp profiles in healthy volunteers, type 1 and type 2 diabetic patients as well as obese non-diabetic patients utilizing euglycemic, hyperglycemic and hyperinsulinemic clamp designs. Current responsibilities include providing medical monitoring support to clinical studies undertaken by PAREXEL as well as providing Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutic area support and consultancy as member of PAREXEL’s cross functional metabolic and endocrine expert group. This includes supporting Training, Sales and Marketing, and Medical and Scientific Services functions of the Global Medical Services Group. Possess strong leadership skills and has held various management and leadership positions.
