About Francois Charette

I am an experienced rock mechanics engineer with a wide range of skills,ranging from design and applications to sales, marketing and management. I worked directly for the mining industry as a professional engineer and consultant, and indirectly while employed by the supply industry and R&D organizations. I am highly motivated and can find the tipping points in successful product life. I have international experience and spent 30 months living, working and travelling in Europe; I have also handled field projects in Latin America. My present goal is to lead a dynamic and focused team in an organisation dedicated to succesfully bring to the market innovative technologies in mining and ground control. Specialties: Design and applications in rock mechanics and ground control in deep and high stress conditions, instrumentation, market definition and strategy, experience in numerical modeling, sales and marketing, field investigation and rock mass quality assessment. Following years of competition in track and field, I worked as a track and field coach over a period of 15 years (paid and volunteer work), and officiated in several international competitions. I have recently renewed with the athletics world.
