François Larosa Award-Winning Screenwriter | Filmmaker | Documentarian | Actor / Freelance Writer François Larosa is a multifaceted talent in the film industry with over 24 years of experience as a Screenwriter, Filmmaker, Actor, and Producer. As an Actor, he has worked under the direction of some of the most iconic names in cinema, including Michael Winterbottom (UK), Terrence Malick, Robert Rodriguez, Peter Berg, and Simon Rumley, among others. His performances range from lead roles to featured appearances and one-liners. He continues to act in select projects, with recent appearances in M.I.A.(Peacock, 2025) and Velvet (CBS-Telemundo). In 2008, Larosa founded Starfield Productions in Austin, Texas. His first commercial was acquired by Skillpoint Alliance, and he has since developed numerous educational and nonprofit film projects. As a director, he has helmed 17 films shot across the U.S, Mexico, Canada, Cuba, and Peru. He has written 17 screenplays, produced 20 films, and created 4 Original Reality Series for networks including CBS-Telemundo, Azteca, HBO GO, and Plex.
