About Francois Pretorius

Experienced financial professional with 10+years of broad finance related experience including “Big4” professional firm, listed groups and a private equity backed group. The roles have given me exposure to both formal corporate processes as well as a more entrepreneurial way of doing business, and also a full spectrum of finance functions including business partnering, reporting, treasury, tax, M&A, net debt & working capital management and non-routine transactions. The large part of my career has been within an environment involving organisational change, with a big focus on “creating new things”. This meant dealing with and implementing change that impacted multiple stakeholders of the businesses. At work I am drawn to solving complex or new problems; creating structure or refining processes; and working with & helping others. Understanding the big picture and focusing on matters that add value are important to me. Outside of work I value my family, find it important to have serious hobbies and interests. I play both golf and squash at a competitive level and I easily see the lighter side in life.
