About Frank Binder

I have built and transformed the Global (and Financial Supply Chains) of several multinational pharmaceutical companies, including Rx, OTC and Medical Device portfolios, to match business needs, thinking the Supply Chain from the customer backwards to the source. My experience across the Supply Chain is deep and broad: chemical production, manufacturing site logistics, procurement, contract manufacturing, global S & OP, supply planning, strategic capacity planning, product launches, artwork management; and international logistics, plus distribution globally and in multiple regions: hands on experience in Europe, Middle East, Asia, China, responsibility for Japan and USA. What I most enjoy is the intersection of cross-functional collaboration, end-to-end thinking, developing strategies and implementation approaches for these, including through major, complex projects. My very good conceptual, analytical and presentation skills, and a recognition as thought leader eg in European or South East Asian Pharma Distribution Strategies, have led to me being invited as speaker and panelist at renowned industry conferences; eg LogiPharma (Europe 2011-2023, USA 2011, Asia 2009, 2010 and 2022), Biopharma Asia 2012. I have strong management, project and negotiation experience across Europe, in USA, Japan, China, across Asia, Latin America, and deep intercultural and language skills (fluent English, German, French, Spanish; some Italian, some traces of Mandarin), through my upbringing between Germany, France and Switzerland, plus family ties to Latin America, and living and working in other regions, notably USA. Behind this lies my strong curiosity for different cultures and a wish to understand as much of the world as possible (and to discover it myself); I am blessed that these interests have fit so well with my career. Besides management roles with increasing responsibility up to VP/Corporate Officer level, I spent formative years as consultant at a major firm, in operational and strategic projects. I am able to operate as Head Global Supply Chain, VP Global Supply Chain, Supply Chain Transformation lead, or Consultant As a Marathon runner, I know the utmost importance of the right mindset, motivation, energy level and perseverance, and also of good preparation and having the right strategy and tactics. But it all starts with mindset and motivation.
