About Frank Deege

Frank advises (inter)national R&D consortia in the Life Sciences and Health sector on the development of their strategy, governance structure and project management processes and the development and management of grant applications. Frank worked from 1998 to 2009 at PwC where he was responsible for the grants advisory practice in the life sciences sector. In 2009 he left PwC for the Erasmus University Medical Center where he held the position of Senior Grants Manager for 6 years. For Erasmus MC and its national and international collaborating institutes and research groups, Frank was responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing the externally funded R&D projects. During this period Frank acquired over 200 million Euros worth of R&D grants, mainly in the field of infectious diseases prevention and control. In September 2015, he was invited to rejoin PwC to assist in building up the Innovation and Development practice focusing on advising public private partnerships in the development and implementation of innovation strategies. In 2016 Frank established nextco, together with former PwC colleagues. As of January 2023, Frank is the Director of Consulting at ttopstart. Clients describe him as being a knowledgeable, pragmatic, creative and trusted consultant who always manages to bring added value to the consortium and an asset to the projectteam by challenging ideas, and by bringing in a fresh outside perspective on the project at hand.
