Through several enterprise involvements spanning the past 20 years, including owning and operating a consulting and service business with several employees, my focus has been commercial radio broadcasting.I still believe in the medium as a key strategy for motivating consumers. Radio gives its product away to listeners in exchange for a few minutes of advertising per hour. This remains a powerful value proposition for markets. Yet there is always room for improvement, whether by reducing cost, improving the quality and relevance of the product or more accurately identifying the consumption habits of the target audience.But I'm a realist and recognize that alternative methods of content delivery will soon obsolete the tall-towers, one-size-fits-all approach that radio offers.Since the mid-1990's I've divided my time between the tall-towers world and the IT universe. Packets will replace kilowatts sooner than we think. Routing and switching, multicast strategies, secure links and pull technology will be our new home. I'm there already.Specialties: Radio station coverage prediction, comparison and valuation.Development of plans to increase coverage area, population and value.Design of custom analog and digital circuits and devices.Cisco and related IT infrastructure installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting. I hold CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, CWSP, CSRE and CBNT certifications as well as certificates in Geographic Information Systems and in Negotiational Strategy.
