I bring out the best in people. My strong interpersonal skills enable me to easily connect with people and get along with anyone in any situation. I therefore value companies who put their employees first by prioritizing employee job satisfaction. An organization that trusts each employee to work to his/her full potential will see the best results, because employee engagement ensures that the customer will get the best possible service and come back for repeat business. During my time as a law enforcement officer, I have led and been involved with numerous high-profile investigations. By leveraging my relationships with co-workers, community members, and members of other agencies, I try to solve these cases and convict the offenders quickly. This has a positive impact in the community. I value the opportunity to work with people of all backgrounds to solve problems creatively and improve processes where possible. When employees are happy, customer are satisfied, and processes work optimally, everyone wins. Big on volunteering, I have put in 100+ hours at the local Kiwanis Club and worked on various projects such as yardwork for the elderly, annual fall cemetery cleanup, and preparing large meals for local organizations’ events. Also, I have written articles and provided the accompanying photographs to Mostly Midwest, an online regional music blog. This includes reviews of albums and live shows, interviews, and profiles on local music personalities and groups. I am particularly proud of-Being appointed 8th District Recruiter for the Michigan Department of State Police. I am particularly talented at communication and problem solving. As a recruiter I covered more than square miles, a population of more than 300K, and participated in dozens of yearly recruiting events-Leading and closing a major, multi-state and multi-agency investigation. Leveraging my resources and relationships with other agency members, I was able to make arrests, recover stolen property in another state, and submit the complete case to federal court. The case was closed timely and with convictions for involved offenders-Achieving 100% occupancy rate for apartment units within weeks of availability for DTN Management.
