Committed to supporting and guiding others to help make sound decisions and solve complex issues. I am an energetic individual who enjoys being of service and prides myself on being able to analyze situations and think critically in complex environments. My military experience sculpted these traits within me. I served as a Logistical Specialist supporting my unit by overseeing logistical processes and managing the accountability of $1M+ in unit equipment. My time as a Team Leader with AmeriCorps allowed me and my 10-member team to respond to a wildfire disaster. By coordinating with local ground teams we were able to organize and provide essential services to the affected community. Walking away with a heart full of compassion and a new passion for disaster response, I decided to pursue my Bachelors in Public health to enhance my skills and couple my experiences with relevant coursework. As an aspiring emergency management specialist, I ensure I continue to grow by obtaining an internship both at a nearby county Emergency Management Agency and Refugee and Immigration service organization.
