About Fraser Daniel

I am experienced in microfabrication techniques like photolithography, sputtering, etching, and thin layer deposition and process development. I have honed my skills in operating SEM, Raman Spectroscopy, FTIR, and profilometer. With experience working in a cleanroom environment, I have an excellent understanding of semiconductor devices and their characterization. I have a working knowledge of C++, Python, MATLAB, LTSPICE, and COMSOL. I posses skills in problem-solving attitude with excellent time management and leadership capabilities to successfully execute various projects. I have taken classes on quality control, design of experiments, and 6-sigma. In addition to my technical abilities, I am also great at verbal/ written, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication. I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Micro and Nanosystems Lab at The Ohio State University. My current work involves the measurement of trans-epi/endothelial electrical resistance. I also contribute to the fabrication of microfluidic devices for the separation of extracellular vesicles and for the identification of bacteria in a hydrodynamic environment. My doctoral work focused on the electrical characterization of c-PLA for applications in MEAM sensors and actuators. I have published four peer-reviewed articles so far. I have great passion for teaching; and I think teaching is best done with industrial and research experience. Hence, I would like to begin my career in an industrial or national laboratory setting. Aside from my regular research, I love to work on PCB-design as passion project. I truly love humanitarian work and I have worked with different organizations in disaster relief and community oriented projects. I am training to be an endurance bicyclist and I hike trails. I also love movies, cooking, and reading.
