As an accomplished Data Manager and Data Analyst, I have led on complex data governance, control, and analysis requirements across the transport industry. I have held various roles throughout my career where I have planned, organised, and controlled data projects in line with strict governance requirements including exception and data testing, analysis, and reporting. I therefore have the experience to understand how to automate key processes, handle complex large multi-functional data sets, and work with third parties. I believe in adopting a continuous improvement approach where I have prioritised data management best practice. I have experience working within complex data sets and integrating data to create insights into performance, trends, and generally inform key business decisions. I have operated as a Data Manager where I have been responsible for managing multiple databases for different travel operators across the UK covering ferry services, Glasgow subway and coach services. I have established comprehensive data governance and control processes including ownership agreements across third party organisations. I have managed data and systems including resolving referencing errors, data exceptions and integration issues quickly and effectively. I have also trained, coached and developer staff to build their capability in data analysis and management covering different systems, techniques and data standards. My experience extends to working across multiple databases and data suppliers as part of controlling fare systems, ticketing, and time data for travel operators. I possess strong interpersonal and communication skills where I am adept at building long lasting relationships internally and externally alongside key stakeholders. I enjoy a challenge and believe I would be a valuable addition to any team.
