Background

About Fraser Monteith

An adventurous and driven geologist, with a multidisciplinary skill set covering contaminated land, geology and engineering geology sectors. I began my career with an MSc in Geology, studying the ‘tectono-sedimentary history of the North Westland Region during the early Cenozoic’ where I gained an appreciation for, and a fundamental grounding in field-based geological investigation, GIS processing, analysis and interpretation, and illustration and visualization experience in various platforms, primarily the Adobe Suite of products. I joined the contaminated land team at Aurecon just over two years ago (2018) and have expanded into the wider ground engineering discipline to also work in engineering geology and geotechnical engineering roles. Since joining Aurecon, I have gained further experience in contaminated land detailed site investigations, remediation strategies and management, geotechnical site investigation, contractor surveillance, digital workflow development and integration of digital tools into field applications.
