About Frauke Beilstein
During my scientific career, I have been working on many different classes of virus such as RNA viruses (Hepatitis C and D virus, Rabies virus, Vesicular Stomatitis Virus), DNA viruses (Herpesviruses and Hepatitis B virus) and bacteriophages. I came to study these pathogens through the analysis of host-pathogen interactions, using techniques such as proteomics, yeast two-hybrid etc… and/or through imaging such as fluorescence or electron microscopy. These years of experience had taught me adaptation to new and very different themes of research as well as the very diverse techniques associated to these themes.
