We embrace change as kids longing to be adults, and yet as adults fight against it. Change is a part of life, and life's gift is choice. We have the power to be courageous about the future and embrace change, or to let fear take control and have power over us. It has been a privilege to have had some great mentors in my life who have helped me understand the human condition through their lessons, challenges and experiences. While much of my career in supporting business leaders and leading people has been to help drive better results and better teams, it's the role as mentor and guide for people that yields true purpose. We are the best talent developers and strategic partners when we listen and look for those opportunities to keep others growing and pushing past the instinct to halt change. My approach to business enablement builds off of life lessons: listen with purpose, understand priorities and perspectives, and recognize the value of empathy. I try to ask the right questions, listen for cues, and give candid feedback, to push people and teams to see beyond their viewpoints and find the right solutions.
