About Fred Croop

While my full-time position currently is as a Professor of Accounting and Business, I am dedicating all available time to the reduction of financial mismanagement in small nonprofit and volunteer organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I work primarily with members of the state legislature and the offices of county district attorneys in the Commonwealth. If you are interested in this issue, please contact me. I have extensive experience in the higher education responsibilities of faculty recruiting, evaluation, and status decisions including reappointment, promotion, and tenure. My financial background as a certified public accountant complemented by an MBA provides me with the ability to deal with budget and planning confidently with relevant expertise. In forty-four years devoted to a career in education I have served as administration, adjunct faculty, full-time faculty in private higher education, and the chief financial officer of a public school district. I have taught and lead the development of curricula in all delivery formats currently employed in higher education. My doctoral degree is in educational technology management. I chose this area of study because I embrace making available in non-traditional settings the opportunity for learners to benefit from liberal arts education that through my contributions can be held to the same level of academic quality achieved in the traditional formats to which I have dedicated most of my academic career. I desire to keep employing my experience and knowledge to the greatest extent possible in serving and contributing to the higher education community and to society as a whole.
