Fred Gulley is a Business Operations and Supply Chain Leader who optimizes efficiency and productivity at merchandise distribution centers serving Walmart, Inc, the world’s largest retailer. Fred’s experience spans grocery, general merchandise, fashion apparel and jewelry warehouses, and he has led order fulfillment teams to win corporate awards for efficiency, safety and quality performance. During his tenure at Walmart, Fred has translated complex business concepts into actionable strategies that have been embraced from the frontline to the executive suite. With expertise in project management, financial modeling and business transformation, he has implemented mission-critical initiatives that delivered $20M in annual waste reduction, SG & A expenses and time returned to associates. Currently, Fred serves as the Director of Operations and Implementation for Walmart US eCommerce. He is a member of the Walmart People of Color Committee and Walmart Women’s Resource Council. Fred’s career highlights include: • Secured $1.7M annual corporate investment for additional transportation to enable perishable delivery seven days per week (up from four or five) at 409 grocery stores the central US. New policy is projected to deliver $28.8M financial gain year-over-year in sales and markdown savings. • Built end-to-end strategy to accommodate 24/7 operations to meet customer demand for groceries amid the supply chain crisis of 2021. • Directed change management initiative piloted at a 1.2M-square-foot general merchandise facility servicing 158 stores in Arkansas, Missouri and Texas. Created metrics and monitored six projects focused on zero-loss mindset and continuous improvement in productivity and safety. • Designed and rolled out comprehensive “get well” plan for 20 under-performing facilities.
