About Fred Hessler

I am a 40-year information technology veteran, with the last 32 years spent in a wide variety of consulting roles. I’ve served both as a practitioner and in management for systems integrators of global, national, regional, and local scope, helping to devise, implement, sell, and support technical solutions for client organizations. I’ve served with firms offering traditional hourly professional services, subscription-based managed services, and subscription-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) products. My professional background includes advisory services, practice leadership, business analysis, delivery management, direct sales, pre-sales engineering and management, project management, investigation and assessment, process reengineering, offering development, recruiting, software development, and technical writing. Today, I use the breadth of my experience to help my clients in a number of strategic ways: • Providing technology-agnostic advisory services around the selection, implementation, and adoption of enterprise software platforms • Providing expert witness services to parties engaged in litigation or arbitration following troubled technology projects • Conducting pre-litigation assessments or case reviews to help client counsel determine whether to seek recompense from service providers following troubled projects • Leading retrospectives on difficult technology projects to help client organizations document lessons learned and make future initiatives more successful • Remediating struggling initiatives and providing recommendations for a path back to project health I’ve successfully served clients in dozens of industries and in many capacities, affording me a broad perspective on the technology consulting industry and technology implementation in general.
