About Fred Howarth

Fred is an ARB qualified Architect who has been working for Stirling Prize winning practice Haworth Tompkins for over 7 years, working across education, residential fields and most recently on theatre projects for the past 4. He also works part-time as a freelance Architectural Photographer with work published in across multiple national and international publications. His portfolio and more details are available at Fred completed his Ba (Hons) in Architecture in 2014 graduating with a First Class degree from Oxford Brookes University and he graduated his Part II Architectural Masters Course and Part qualification at the University of Westminster, attaining merits in both while continuing to work at Haworth Tompkins Ltd Fred is passionate about film, film criticism and the interaction that the medium can have within the architectural world. This interest led to Fred's final year dissertation "Spatiality and Legibility/Experience and Understanding: A Study of LA; the City, Architecture and Film" for which he was awarded The Riach Architects Prize for best dissertation. Outside of the architectural profession Fred attends copious gigs in London as well as being a keen runner.
