Received B.S. in Biology with minor in Chemistry from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2002, M.D. from UNC School of Medicine in 2006. Served as Justice of the UNC Student Supreme Court Interim Chief Justice 2006. Completed Surgery Internship and Urology Residency at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota 2006-2011. Has been in clinical practice of urology in Greater Winston-Salem, NC since 2011, focusing on medical and surgical management of kidney stone disease and general urology. Expanded Novant Health Urology footprint by opening Novant Health Urology Clemmons office in 2022. Was awarded a Guardian Angel Pin from Novant Health Foundation for patient gratitude in 2023. Member of Piedmont Stone Center. Served as Urology Department Chair at Novant Health Medical Park Hospital and Section Chief at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, 2018-2023. Has enjoyed committee work including medical executive committee, peer review, multiple terms on Novant Health Medical Park Hospital Board of Trustees between 2015-2024 including as board secretary 2023-24, and consulting roles including during EHR implementation projects. Outside activities have included service on NC Piedmont Board of Directors of Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) 2017-2023 and as Breakthrough T1D Research Information Volunteer 2017-2024 and UNC School of Medicine Medical Alumni Council. Emphasizes integrity in clinical practice, clinical guidelines/evidence-based medicine, systems-based practice, and process improvement.
