About Fred Xu

As a senior project manager at Abbott, I leverage my 20+ years of experience in project management and product development to deliver global IVD product launch projects on time and within budget. I hold a PMP certification, an MBA, and a PhD in chemistry, which enable me to combine technical, business, and leadership skills to achieve impactful outcomes. I manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with cross-functional teams from regulatory, supply chain, quality, engineering, manufacturing, commercial, and operation. I develop project plans, track progress, report KPIs, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. I also proactively identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation. My mission is to ensure Abbott's IVD products meet the highest quality, safety, and performance standards.
