About Freddie Moore

I am an enthusiastic future solicitor currently working as a paralegal at an international litigation firm. My main area of interests within the sector are company law, commercial litigation, and IP, given the highly technical nature that the corresponding law and the wide impact that the sectors have both domestically and internationally. On my LPC I have chosen electives covering mergers and acquisitions; commercial dispute resolution; and IP.I have been lucky enough to have an internship at a prestigious Washington DC-based firm. This experience was valuable in entrenching my interest in international law as well as the requirement to travel to ensure I find the best work. In my experience I dealt with individuals, companies and laws from the US, Spain, Lebanon, Iran, the UK, Qatar, and the UAE; the range allowing me to understand the global relationships that are intrinsic to commerce and law and how best the deal with each. This came into line with my strong personal interest in American politics, as well as the opportunity to work on cross-border litigation. It was during my experience that I was able to know that commercial litigation was the area of law I wanted to go into.In my other recent work and education I have further embraced working as a team, as I spent summers erecting marquees across the UK. This job involved long hours and required precise cooperation with my team members to ensure the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Since, I have utilised similar cooperative skills in my postgraduate education when giving presentations and coursework and have understood the importance of effective communication and understanding. In particular my efforts during an advocacy assessment where I was commended for my clear and well-articulated arguments.
